
Harvey started his comedy career in the early 1980s. In the 80s, Harvey did stand-up comedy, and also hosted Showtime at the Apollo as in addition to The Steve Harvey Show (The WB). In the following years, after appearing on The Kings of Comedy Tour, he was featured in The Original Kings of Comedy. His last stand-up show was on in 2012. Harvey was host of the Family Feud host since 2010 and Celebrity Family Feud host ever since. Harvey is also host for Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. As an author, he has written four books among them his best-selling Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, which was released in March of 2009. Harvey established Steve Harvey Global, an entertainment company that houses the company he runs for production East 112 along with different ventures. Harvey also created Family Feud Africa and was an investor in Anthem Sports and Entertainment's purchase of HDNet. Marjorie Harvey and Steve Harvey were founding members of The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit foundation that concentrates on young education. He's a Daytime Emmy Award recipient seven times, a twice Marconi Award nominee, and 14-time NAACP Image Award recipient in various categories.
