Molly, who was raised in Pennsylvania was a professional performer when she began in Philadelphia at the Prince Music Theater at 13 years old in The Snow Queen. She was then nominated as a Barrymore Award nominee for her character of Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production Into the Woods. The role was reprised by Molly when she performed her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway, in 2002. The show won her a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly played the role in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof (2004). She graduated in 2008 and graduated with her B.A. from Princeton University.
